Tortoise Bot
Tortoise Bot can do anything from autonomously follow a ball around the room to scout the house via remote driving guided by a live webcam feed. With text-to-speech and a moveable webcam as eyes powered by onboard computer vision, this amazing robot has even greater potential.
Augmented Reality Tic-Tac-Toe
Using computer vision, the computer plays tic-tac-toe without the user ever having to touch the computer. Want to be X or O? It doesn't matter; just draw one and the computer will automatically choose the other. Plus with the help of the minimax algorithm, the computer is unbeatable.
Beta Bot
Drive the robot by remote control or let it drive itself with the click of a button. Using three ultrasonic range and one laser time-of-flight sensors, the robot can autonomously avoid obstacles and even stop a bad driver from crashing into a wall.
Marble Sorter
The machine sorts marbles based on size and color and then dispenses a specified amount of each based on data from a scanned barcode. This project was built by a team of 8 engineering students including myself. Out of about 500 freshmen teams, the project won 5th place at the Texas A&M Engineering Showcase.
